Trash Icon Gone on FC3
 

Hello,

I am using Fedora Core 3 with the Gnome Desktop. The "Trash" icon has disappeared from the desktop and I would like to have it back. I went to the Gconf editor and I have found that the setting for a trash icon is set to "true". So I'm not sure why the icon is gone. Any ideas?

check the $PATH
trash is usually located this way:::

~/home/Desktop/Trash

Sorry...total newbie here. Not sure what you mean by "check the $PATH".

I can tell you that under ~/Desktop/ there is nothing. I have no Trash folder there or any folder for that matter. I can tell you that when I go to the "Places" menu in the "Computer" and choose "Trash", I can open a window that displays all of the contents in Trash.
