transparent shell?....
 
hi everyone

just a quick simple question - what is the shell under kde that is transparent (ie you can see the background through the window)?

Open the Konsule...right click and choose SCHEME, and select TRANSPARENT...then save the settings by right clicking and choosing SAVE

Most X based text consoles allow (some degree of) transparency. The transparency option for konsole will only work when using the KDE window manager. You could try some others as well (usually typing man something will give you the various options available).
