Transfer Files: Reiserfs & NTFS

Welp! I've got some files on a Reiserfs harddrive, that need to be transfered to an NTFS one. Unfortuneately, I'm running WindowsXP. I don't have a cdr or dvdr so it's not like I can install any cds atm.

I tried to mount the two drives, from a SuSE rescue disk I have, but it doesn't support NTFS.

Can someone help me out?

TIA.

Got knoppix?
If so - use the captiventfs drivers.

Why didn't you say so in the first place! :P If it's
that important to you you could have hired someone
rather than yelling at people who voluntarily offer
support in their spare time.

Is the machine hooked up to a network of sorts?
If so, you can probably install putty on a windows
box and pscp the files to an accessible place.

If you don't have any bootable Linux CD's with
write-access for NTFS the network is a fast solution.

The slow alternative would be tar and floppies ;)

Cheers,
Tink

explore2fs

I have a dual boot laptop, and it has XP and also has Mandrake 9.1. I have downloaded a file called explore2fs.exe, it comes in zip format. When I want to transfer something from linux to XP, I reboot to XP, click on explore2fs.exe and voila, I am looking at my linux partition. I locate the file I want, and I think it's under VIEW in the explore2fs menu, it says export file, I click on that, and I get the standard folder selection window, click on save, and the file is in XP.

It is pre-beta, so you need to be aware that it is not tested bullet proot, all I can tell you is it works for me on my machine, and for the guy who programmed it.

There is a download choice, if you find it via google, for large file transfer, that is the one I have.

Explore2fs not for ReiserFS

The poster was talking about getting information from a ReiserFS volume, specifically, not an ext2 volume. Explore2fs is a good idea, though. I don't know if there is anything similar to access ReiserFS volumes directly from Windows, though.
