TPSRV Job?

Hi everyone,

Would someone be able to explain exactly what the tpsrv job does in Linux? tpsrv seems to have many different jobs under it's umbrella as well, such as tpusr, tpdoc, etc. So I guess the pertinent question would be what are these "tp" jobs and what do they do? Thanks for the help!

Could be, but it's definitely running on our dedicated Linux server.

Yeah, it was a daft thing to say.

Okay; google has been no help looking at that, so what information can you give us about it? use pidof to get the PID for the processes and give us

Code:
sudo pidof -p (PID)
where (PID) is the PIDs (Process IDs) of each of the different tp-jobs. If any of them are suspicious (Only you will know for certain whether you find it suspicious) then give it a

Code:
sudo strace -p (PID)
with the PID of the suspicious one. Give it ten seconds of reading before kill -9 ing it
