Tortoise GIT Issue?

I have a git repository on one of my Fedora 10 Machine.
Earlier I was using Tortoise SVN but for GIT, I have installed Tortoise GIT.
I am not able to run git://<ip>/path/to/gitrepo.
Any idea why its not working?
