Tor installation "make" problems

I'm trying to install Tor and I'm getting the same problem I've had before.
I've extracted the file tor-0.1.0.14.tar.gz and I ran ./configure (with errors) see below:

LinuxAsus:/etc/tor-0.1.0.14/tor-0.1.0.14 # ./configure && make

See `config.log' for more details.

Can you please tell what I'm doing wrong?
Thanks

Do you have gcc installed? That error means that you don't have a C compiler installed.
