Tools for Debian

I'm new to Debian but used to SUSE. Is there a YAST equivalent for Debian? I am surprised at the differences in the Distros themselves. It's been 3 years since I was active with SUSE. I'm still trapped between the command line, the menu structure, and my favorite tools.
Thanks
MACKCOLIN

Workstation or server? If the former, and you've installed GNOME, it comes complete with lots of pretty administrative menus.

If the latter, start by familiarizing yourself with aptitude(8).

And then get busy with the official docs: http://www.debian.org/doc/manuals/de.../index.en.html

[ I'm brand-spanking new to Debian as well. ]

Debian Tools

Thanks Anomie! I am using server and will look into your Aptitude(8) suggestion.
