hi everyone...................

i have downloaded a software from

the name of my software is (tomboy-1.14.1.tar.xz) which remain in my Downloads directory ......................

i don't know how to extract this kind of software & how to install it ...... SO I HIGHLY REQUEST YOU PLZ GIVE ME INSTRUCTION HOW EXTRACT THIS KIND OF SOFTWARE AND INSTALL IT IN MY COMPUTER BY USING TERMINAL.........

Tomboy is in the Ubuntu repositories, so just install it using the Software Center, there is no need to install it from a tar-ball.
