To Monitor network Traffic


can anyone tell me some few tools to monitor view/network network traffic.

My personal preference is to capture with tcpdump (because it's much more efficient and stable than wireshark, and is less likely to drop packets), and then do analysis with wireshark (because it's graphical and I like the navigation better). Just remember to do -s 1514 when capturing with tcpdump if you want to get the bodies of the packets and not just the headers.
