To install gcc, glibc, gvim...

Hello everyone,
I want to install gcc, glibc, gvim editor in one of my friend's laptop. The problem is that machine does not have internet connection. So is it possible to download a file from my connection and install in that machine through a pendrive like we normally do in windows without commandline? Your help is very much appreciated. Thanks.

Regards...

By the way, glibc is always installed.
(Glibc is the basics of a Linux OS.)

The missing package can be glibc-devel.

Sorry.

@knudfl
Oops, sorry for the dumb question. The os is fedoralinux 13. So with no internet connection, if vim or any related package can be installed by manual copy paste or running set-up as in windows is the problem.

Just download the packages on another computer and install with:

1) su <password> ; 1a) cd <folder-with-rpm-packages>/
2) rpm -Uvh <package> <package> <package> <package> <package> <package>

Fedora 13 http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pu...13/Everything/
>> Select i386 for a 32bits OS, x86_64 for a 64bits.
( Check the OS architecture with the command : uname -m )

F13 updates http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pu...ux/updates/13/

Required dependency packages : a) For glibc-devel : glibc-headers
b) For gcc : gcc-c++ libstdc++ libstdc++-devel kernel-headers
c) gvim : The Fedora package name is : vim-X11
No extra dependencies for vim-X11 :
Everything is installed by default at OS install. (vim-common etc.)
