to build a localized desktop

i want to customize my FC2 to correctly show chinese filenames (in different codings: big5, gb2312, utf-8).....

my present i18n file is as follow:

LANG="zh_TW.Big5"
SUPPORTED="zh_HK.UTF-8:zh_HK:zh:zh_CN.UTF-8:zh_CN:zh:zh_TW.UTF-8:zh_TW:zh:en_GB.UTF-8:en_GB:en:en_US.UTF-8:en_US:en:zh_TW.Big5:zh_TW:zh:zh_CN.GB2312:zh_CN:zh"
SYSFONT="lat0-sun16"

i have a second question that the samba client (which is Win2k) cannot see those chinese filenames located in my linux box. the filenames appear as a messy code.

may any kind give me some hints
thanks
