tiny fuge install using sh and make files?

I am trying to compile and install tiny fugue, a mud client on SuSE 8.

The readme says I should use the command 'sh unixmake' but I keep getting an error message saying make not found. When looking at the code it specifies several possible paths for make and says to include every path that make may be found in - the only problem being that I cannot find make on my system.

I seem to remember being able to do this the last time I experimented with linux - I don't remember any problem with make not being found.

Also I cannot seem to use the command 'locate' - again I get an error message saying the command is not found.

Any pointers in the right direction?
