Time Problems
I'm running red hat 8.0 and using the kde desktop. However, my time keeps slowing down. I know the time is based on the internal time based on my motherboard. I'm running a asus p4pe motherboard. It seems that the time keeps slowing down every time I shut down. I even went into the bios to reset the time but that only worked temporarily. Is there a way to permanently fix this or a setting in linux that fixes this? Any help appreciated. J

try hwclock
Log in as root. Read the hwclock man pages two or three time. man hwclock explains both the hardware clock problem and more than you will ever want to know on how to permanently fix it. My clock runs within an accuracy of 1 second per six months and counting.
