thunderbird in notification menu


hi,
i want that my thunderbird run in notification menu i checked the options of thunderbird but i didnt find any. can some one tell me how can i do it.

There's an extension called FireTray which says it works on Linux, but the comments show that it's a bit buggy at the moment.

The best linux option at the moment appears to be a more general minimize-to-tray application such as kdocker or alltray. They're probably available through your distro's package manager.

There's a plugin somewhere that puts a little envelope in the tray when you get a new message (not sure if this was what you were looking for, or if you wanted the whole application to be an icon).
Look for "New Mail Icon" extension. I just checked and it has a tick-box to allow TB to be a tray icon as well.
