Question Thunderbird downloading new mails again and again


Hello all
I am really troubled by the way my Thunderbird is behaving today.
It downloading today's mail again and agin whenever I click on GetMail Button
Please Help me get out of this trouble.
Its very difficult for me to configure thunderbird again as it will take a lot of time in downloading the older mails.

Please reply as soon as possible

When you click Get mail, it'll download the messages because the button is for that.

Maybe I've read your post wrong. Please clearly explain the problem

I know that !!!!!!!!!!
But the problem is ,it is downloading the mails which it has downloaded earlier .Hence I recieve the same mail everytime resulting in lot of duplicate mails......


Please do give a positive reply

how about unchecking ' Check for new messages every ... minutes ' from Edit > Account Settings > Server Settings

Where do you download the mail from?
gmail, yahoo...
Make sure they are configured correctly on the server site.
You can disable the option
leave mail on server
in Thundebird

Seems like Thunderbird is confused with the last date for downloading new messages. Check this link,
