this is a general way newb question...

can .iso files be burnt as an image to a dvd-r or does it have to be a cd-r or does it depend? maybe dual .iso on a dvd-r and say you put ubuntuinstaller.iso, knoppix.iso and something else .iso to fill the disk up more, can you choice between the three which image to run off the cd...kind of like grub for dvd-r and .isos.. while asking i get the impression all .iso can be burnt to a dvd-r as a bootable image disk so really i awnt to know about having a few .iso's on a dvd-r, anybody do that?

You have to remember an ISO is a disk image so by definition represents an entire disk. I doubt you could even burn one the way you suggest with multiple ISOs. Seems it would be far easier to just burn each to it's own disk. It's not like CD-Rs are all that expensive.

I was trying to find that out a month ago, and now that I don't care about it anymore, I've found this.
