Question Thin clients - Linux on CD w/ windows terminal client

Hi,

I'm new here and still a Linux-newbie.

I volunteer at a non-profit organization that has some old Pentium 133MHz machines w/ small or non-functional hard drives. I was wondering whether these old machines could be turned into thin clients with the help of Linux. I have heard that some Linux distributions can run directly from a CD. I have also heard about using RDesktop to connect to a Windows terminal server. Now, would it be possible to combine the two together for a bootable CD with Linux, X Windows, and RDesktop? Has this already been done? How would you do it?

Thanks in advance for you advice.

A
