There is no ipop3 in xinetd.d

Hi!

I have installed postfix mailserver on CentOS linux, but have a small problem. My mailserver is working, but from another machine (with outlook express) I can't access it. Perhaps my pop3 server doesn't run.
How can I be sure that my pop3 server works?

Which version of CentOs ou running. If i am correct ipop3 comes only on kernel 2.4 ( RHEL3 ). If its a 2.6 kernel ( RHEL 4 ) then you need to install dovecot POP3.

Yes I use 2.6.x kernel.

What dovecot POP3 means?
How can I install it?

Ok as its a 2.6 kerenl I belive its a clone of RHEL4. So you need to downlaod the dovecot rpm which actually provides the pop3 and pop3s services.

Check the repo for CentOS and downlaod the dovecot rpm. look at the below links which can help you in setting up dovecot once you have installed it.
