there a way to transfer a file on linux to windows?

Like, you know how you can mount your windows partition and copy a file from there to linux, is there a way to do it vice-versa? I stashed some mp3's and movies on my linux partition cuz my windows one messed up and now i need to put them back on win :x

as long as windows is mount read-write, just log in as root and move them into the windows partition.

Though I don't recommend this from a security standpoint, there are programs for mounting the linux partitions in Windows - such as YaREG for accessing ReiserFS systems and Ext2fs for Ext2 systems.

Yeps: You can copy the files to a Windows partition while working in linux (don't do it if your filesystem is NTFS!) . You can also try some programs to access the Linux partition from Windows (but I wouldn't recommend it either). Finally, if you are planning to use both systems a lot and share information, what I'ld recommend is to create a third (FAT32) partition and put the documents to share there.

Why not? I heard 'Captive' allows this... Although I didn't try yet - I live under Linux now with ReiserFS:)
