the resolution of fax2tiif

Hi,
I have a problem when using the fax2tiff.
When we have the "raw" g3 encoded data, we want to use fax2tiff to convert it into tiff format. The resulting tiff image has bad resolution because there are extra spots and lines. But if we send this "raw" g3 encoded data to Winfax , the image has a good quality.

Can anyone can tell me what's wrong with the fax2tiff?
