The program Screen, "delete" key doesn't work

Hi,

When I start a tcsh terminal I have bounded the key "delete" so that it deletes that character below the cursor (frontwards) instead of doing as the "backspace" button would.

When I then start the terminal program screen, the "delete" button suddenly works as backspace, which is very annoying.

How do I solve this ??

(Redhat 8.0 machine)
