The old scroll wheel question, with a twist.

I'm SO glad I found this forum. Just getting my feet wet with linux for the first time, and running Mandrake 9.2.

I was trying to get my scroll wheel working but reguardless of what I do it doesn't work. Heres what the section in my XF86CONFIG says:

Section "Pointer"
Protocol "IMPS/2"
Device "/dev/psaux"
Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"
EndSection

What exactly is wrong here?

To answer my own question of what was wrong with that section.

Nothing, but I needed to reboot instead of just log out and back in... duh.

i dont' know if you
read THIS

but there is a lot of info regarding this topic ...
and you should be able to figure it out by going through the above thread ..
things such as :
the Device line
and Buttons ..
most people don't need the Buttons line, but i for some reason had to add it, and there was actually another guy that was involved in a past thread that said he needed it to ...
so just change them little things ...
that xmodmap command mentioned might prove to be a succesor also
goodluck!
