the laptop does not hibernate??


hi there!!!
i am using kubuntu and my laptop does not hibernate or even sleep whenever i close the lid of my laptop!! i have tried to configure the powersave but it is all in vain!!
When i close the lid,the screen goes blank and it deactivates everything including the mouse and the keyboard!! what might be the problem!!

What did you do?

What did you do to try to configure the powersave?

i reconfigured the kde enviroment and all things went back to normal
