testing sangoma card e1 interface on hp dl 380 with centos 5.3

Hello every one,
I'm newbie here and would like to inquire on the above caption subject. We have acquired a new SIP-T telephony based on CentOs 5.3
and HP DL 380. And these were my questions:
I want to perform sangoma e1 interface loopback testing on centos 5.3.
Does the SIP-T infrastructure requires much resources in terms of memory and H/W compare with TDM ?

Thanks a lot,
