terminated processes showing up in ps check

When i try and sudo kill some of there processes it says that they are non-existant.
But when i ps auxwww | grep casper, they still show up.
How can I erase processes that occured in the past from the ps?
Code:
casper@casperbox01 ~ $ ps auxwww | grep casper
root 12367 0.0 0.0 65216 3020 ? Ss 08:34 0:00 sshd: casper [priv]
casper 12369 0.0 0.0 65216 1504 ? S 08:34 0:00 sshd: casper@pts/29

How exactly are you using the kill command? Have you tried using "kill -9" to end them?
