Terminal
HI ALL!
I'll be honest, I'm not really still under "newb" status considering I've been using Ubuntu Linux for some time now. My only concern is that I feel like I've been using it the wrong way. I've noticed time and again that many Windows users complain about the dependency on the terminal in Ubuntu or any Linux distro for that matter...I have yet to use the terminal for anything more than starting Easytether. In fact I haven't a clue on how to use the terminal. So my question is. What is a good place to start tutoring myself on the basic functionality of the terminal? I understand that Linux is completely open source and that the terminal lies at the center of it all. I would like to utilize the true power of Linux and I feel that understanding how the terminal works will help better understand all other Linux distros. So someone...anyone...point me in the right direction... |

Here is a very good and easy to follow instructional guide to using basic terminal commands:
