Which browser are you using?

RobTek 10-25-2004 06:27 PM

netscape 7.2

Electronkz 10-25-2004 06:31 PM

do you mean mozilla?

RobTek 10-25-2004 06:37 PM

Im running a P3 733 Mhz, wish 128 in RAM. Mandrake 10.1, with Netscape 7.2 as my browser. I have hda with 20 G, and hdb with 111 G.

Electronkz 10-25-2004 06:41 PM

Ok, i thought that mozilla was the linux netscape version, nevermind,
Go to edit, → preferences → Advanced → Cache

RobTek 10-25-2004 06:43 PM

That takes care of the cache, how about the Temp I-Net files, and the cookies

Peacedog 10-25-2004 06:44 PM

From the drop down menu, edit>preferences>Advanced>cache, there should be a clear cache button, select it. For cookies, from the drop down menu, Tools>Cookie manger>Managed stored cookies>this should bring up another window, select all, then hit the remove all cookies button.
good luck.

Ok, TY, i did both the cookies, and the cache. And still my site, will not come up. My friends, can still access the site, but it comes up, www.robtekcreations.info cannot be found.

What might else need to be done. I tried accessing different sections of the site, to make it work, like the webmail, and the admin panel, and one of the sub domains, and nothing still.

grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

The link to your site works for me as well mate. I might suggest looking at your firewall settings, I'm not really an apache guy, but i know port 80 has to accept connections. You might get a better response with a thread in the network forum, with a title something to the effect, "Cannot access web server from lan".

Can you reach other websites? And who is your DNS?

Cheers,
Tink

RobTek 10-25-2004 07:16 PM

Ok. TY. My DNS is through godaddy.com and i can access, this site, and yahoo. My partners site, is not working for as well, and again, my friends can access his. the same message comes up, when i put the url in. www.wklp.net cannot be found.

Tinkster 10-25-2004 07:20 PM

In this case I suggest you call your ISP and
nag them them to update THEIR DNS entries,
it's certainly not a problem of your machine
or your browser ... you could ask your mates
for the relevant IPs and try to access the site
via numerical IP rather than name.

Cheers,
Tink
