Telnet working but not ssh

Hi,

I am facing a issue with ssh while connecting to another server where the telnet is working fine but the ssh connection is intermittent & the ssh server is started. Although I have checked few points as,

1. Servers are able to ping each other.
2. Servers are able to telnet
3. Servers are able to resolve from dns
4. Also tried entry of each server in hosts file too.
5. There is no iptables set on both the servers.

Any solution will be appreciated.

can you check if ssh port was available ?
telnet <host> <port>

yes its working & I am able to do ssh but while entering password the server gets hangs.
