telnet configuration


I tried to configure my telnet (it is fedora 7) it is saying connection refused when i type chkconfig telnet on

rpm -q telnet-server

it is saying telnet package is not installed when can i get it

OK,

Connect to internet & download and install the package as follows...

"yum install telnet-server"

Don't use telnet (the server - the client is a valuable
trouble-shooting tool). Use ssh instead.

As Tinkster pointed out, you should be using ssh. Just curious, but is there a real reason that you want/need to use the telnet daemon ?
