Welcome to LQ.
nsfreezetcp-1.0.tar.gz http://www.nicta.com.au/people/mehanio/freezetcp The file README : Quote:
( Not a good example, as all ns2 usually should be located in /home/<user-name> ). Another example. It's working ! cd nsfreezetcp-1.0/ && tar xvf ns-allinone-2.34.tar.gz cd ns-allinone-2.34/ && ./install cd ../nsfreezetcp-1.0/ && ./configure \ --with-ns-allinone=ns-allinone-2.34/ --with-ns=ns-allinone-2.34/ns-2.34/ \ --with-tcl=ns-allinone-2.34/tcl8.4.18 --with-tk=ns-allinone-2.34/tk8.4.18 \ --with-otcl=ns-allinone-2.34/otcl-1.13/ --with-tclcl=ns-allinone-2.34/tclcl-1.19/ Good luck ! . |
thanks knudfl for ur help

Which OS are you using ? ?
Like Ubuntu 10.10, Ubuntu 12.04, Fedora 17, CentOS 6, etc. etc. Before you start with nsfreezetcp-1.0 : A lot of "ns-allinone-2.34 headers" are required in nsfreezetcp-1.0/src/. I have copied all the headers into nsfreezetcp-1.0/src/ and packed a new "nsfreezetcp-1.0-ns234-1.tar.gz" : https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B7S...FZhVXNESzVsQUU Ubuntu example .. Code:
cd nsfreezetcp-1.0/ && tar xvf ns-allinone-2.34.tar.gz && cd ns-allinone-2.34/ && export CC=gcc-4.1 CXX=g++-4.1 && ./install && cd ../nsfreezetcp-1.0/ && ./configure --with-ns-allinone=ns-allinone-2.34/ --with-ns=ns-allinone-2.34/ns-2.34/ --with-tcl=ns-allinone-2.34/tcl8.4.18 --with-tk=ns-allinone-2.34/tk8.4.18 --with-otcl=ns-allinone-2.34/otcl-1.13/ --with-tclcl=ns-allinone-2.34/tclcl-1.19/ . |

Testing ns tcp-freeze : cd nsfreezetcp-1.0/samples/ && ns tcpvsfreeze.tcl ... and wait : The time is set to 1,500 seconds. Result : A huge trace file, 'out.tr' 1.8 GB ! ( I tried changing to 100 in line 52, tcpvsfreeze.tcl, then out.tr is 155 MB. And : 10 seconds, out.tr is 14.5 MB.) Using the trace file : 'perl exponential.pl' .. Will create two output files : link_1_1_0, predict_1_1_0 Other example "perl command" : perl exponential.pl uptime=1 downtime=1 finish=3000 pred=0 ZWA_ahead=1.50000 NZWA_after=0.0001 seed=1347258208 link_file=link2 predictor_file=predict2 . |
im using red hat 5.1.19.6 and ns-2.34
while executing tcpvsfreeze.tcl (file that is in samples file with freeze tcp ) I get the error : couldn't load file "../src/.libs/libnsfreezetcp.so": ../src/.libs/libnsfreezetcp.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory and when I give the full path error comes : couldn't load file "..": /lib64/..: cannot read file data: Is a directory and in source folder theres no file with extension .so , so I tried with other extensions like .la but still same problem persists |

The command 'cat /etc/redhat-release' will reply with version. ( 5.1.19.6 is a nash version.) And please also show the reply from the command 'uname -m'. ( Replies are i686 for 32bits OS or x86_64 for 64bits OS.) Are you quite sure that the libraries in ///src/.libs/ were built ? ( .libs/ is a hidden folder.) Did you do # yum install kernel kernel-devel .. before building "tcp-freeze" ? And rebooted ? . |
its Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 5.4(Tikanga)
its 64 bits OS(x86_64) and after running "yum install kernel kernel-devel" reply came : Loaded plugins: rhnplugin, security This system is not registered with RHN. RHN support will be disabled. Setting up Install Process No package kernel-devel available. Nothing to do and how to check that libraries in ///src/.libs were built? and what is nash version? |

You can migrate Redhat EL 5.4 to the identical free version = CentOS 5.8 http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/MigrationGuide § "Migration an existing system from RHEL5 to CentOS 5" Checking what's in ///src/.libs : ls -la src/.libs/ . |
thanks knudfl for your help.
I have done with tcp freeze installation ,now I want perl file to calculate throughput of trace file which is generated from wireless nodes and they have mobility also . help needed! |
# 12
? May be you can use a file like throughput.pl ? Or part of it. http://stuweb.ee.mtu.edu/~ljialian/C.../throughput.pl Using : $ perl throughput.pl out.tr 1 > throughput.pl-out |
knudfl i want to ask that ,im doing simulation of wireless scenario using AODV but im facing problem that wen i link down between node 0 and node 1 and node 0 and node 2 i can still see the packets received by node 1 and two and im using this command :
$ns rtmodel-at 5.000 down $node_(0) $node_(1) $ns rtmodel-at 7.000 down $node_(0) $node_(2) im getting the trace file : r 4.999488714 _1_ AGT --- 670 tcp 1040 [13a 1 0 800] ------- [0:0 1:0 30 1] [335 0] 1 0 s 4.999488714 _1_ AGT --- 672 ack 40 [0 0 0 0] ------- [1:0 0:0 32 0] [335 0] 0 0 r 4.999488714 _1_ RTR --- 672 ack 40 [0 0 0 0] ------- [1:0 0:0 32 0] [335 0] 0 0 s 4.999488714 _1_ RTR --- 672 ack 40 [0 0 0 0] ------- [1:0 0:0 30 0] [335 0] 0 0 v 5 link-down 1 0 v 5 link-down 0 1 r 5.001714058 _0_ AGT --- 636 ack 40 [13a 0 1 800] ------- [1:0 0:0 30 0] [317 0] 1 0 s 5.001714058 _0_ AGT --- 673 tcp 1040 [0 0 0 0] ------- [0:0 1:0 32 0] [337 0] 0 0 r 5.001714058 _0_ RTR --- 673 tcp 1040 [0 0 0 0] ------- [0:0 1:0 32 0] [337 0] 0 0 s 5.001714058 _0_ RTR --- 673 tcp 1040 [0 0 0 0] ------- [0:0 1:0 30 1] [337 0] 0 0 r 5.011719401 _1_ AGT --- 671 tcp 1040 [13a 1 0 800] ------- [0:0 1:0 30 1] [336 0] 1 0 s 5.011719401 _1_ AGT --- 674 ack 40 [0 0 0 0] ------- [1:0 0:0 32 0] [336 0] 0 0 r 5.011719401 _1_ RTR --- 674 ack 40 [0 0 0 0] ------- [1:0 0:0 32 0] [336 0] 0 0 s 5.011719401 _1_ RTR --- 674 ack 40 [0 0 0 0] ------- [1:0 0:0 30 0] [336 0] 0 0 r 6.988358019 _1_ RTR --- 1002 ack 40 [0 0 0 0] ------- [1:0 0:0 32 0] [500 0] 0 0 s 6.988358019 _1_ RTR --- 1002 ack 40 [0 0 0 0] ------- [1:0 0:0 30 0] [500 0] 0 0 r 6.998243810 _1_ AGT --- 1000 tcp 1040 [13a 1 0 800] ------- [0:0 1:0 30 1] [501 0] 1 0 s 6.998243810 _1_ AGT --- 1003 ack 40 [0 0 0 0] ------- [1:0 0:0 32 0] [501 0] 0 0 r 6.998243810 _1_ RTR --- 1003 ack 40 [0 0 0 0] ------- [1:0 0:0 32 0] [501 0] 0 0 s 6.998243810 _1_ RTR --- 1003 ack 40 [0 0 0 0] ------- [1:0 0:0 30 0] [501 0] 0 0 v 7 link-down 2 0 v 7 link-down 0 2 r 7.000249154 _0_ AGT --- 969 ack 40 [13a 0 1 800] ------- [1:0 0:0 30 0] [482 0] 1 0 s 7.000249154 _0_ AGT --- 1004 tcp 1040 [0 0 0 0] ------- [0:0 1:0 32 0] [502 0] 0 0 r 7.000249154 _0_ RTR --- 1004 tcp 1040 [0 0 0 0] ------- [0:0 1:0 32 0] [502 0] 0 0 s 7.000249154 _0_ RTR --- 1004 tcp 1040 [0 0 0 0] ------- [0:0 1:0 30 1] [502 0] 0 0 r 7.002354945 _0_ AGT --- 970 ack 40 [13a 0 1 800] ------- [1:0 0:0 30 0] [483 0] 1 0 s 7.002354945 _0_ AGT --- 1005 tcp 1040 [0 0 0 0] ------- [0:0 1:0 32 0] [503 0] 0 0 r 7.002354945 _0_ RTR --- 1005 tcp 1040 [0 0 0 0] ------- [0:0 1:0 32 0] [503 0] 0 0 s 7.002354945 _0_ RTR --- 1005 tcp 1040 [0 0 0 0] ------- [0:0 1:0 30 1] [503 0] 0 0 r 7.012300289 _1_ AGT --- 1004 tcp 1040 [13a 1 0 800] ------- [0:0 1:0 30 1] [502 0] 1 0 s 7.012300289 _1_ AGT --- 1006 ack 40 [0 0 0 0] ------- [1:0 0:0 32 0] [502 0] 0 0 r 7.012300289 _1_ RTR --- 1006 ack 40 [0 0 0 0] ------- [1:0 0:0 32 0] [502 0] 0 0 s 7.012300289 _1_ RTR --- 1006 ack 40 [0 0 0 0] ------- [1:0 0:0 30 0] [502 0] 0 0 really want help regarding this issue ! |
