TCP-freeze patch installation problem in ns2- 2.34
 

hello,

my ns2 is working fine but im facing problem in installing tcp-freeze patch in ns2 ,i have used command :
$ ./configure --with-ns=/usr/src/ns-2.34
or
$ ./configure --with-ns-allinone=/usr/src/ns-allinone-2.34

but getting error : configure:error:ns-allinone path /usr/src/ns-allinone-2.34 is not valid

help needed!

The file README :
The example ( e.g. ) is only valid with an installed ns-allinone-2.34 in /usr/src/.
( Not a good example, as all ns2 usually should be located in /home/<user-name> ).


Another example. It's working !

Which OS are you using ? ?
Like Ubuntu 10.10, Ubuntu 12.04, Fedora 17, CentOS 6, etc. etc.


Before you start with nsfreezetcp-1.0 :
A lot of "ns-allinone-2.34 headers" are required in nsfreezetcp-1.0/src/.
I have copied all the headers into nsfreezetcp-1.0/src/
and packed a new "nsfreezetcp-1.0-ns234-1.tar.gz" :

i have been able to install tcp-freeze patch but if im using it in my tcl file it gvng error at tht line and how to check whether tht patch installed working fine or not ??

Which tcl file ? ?


Testing ns tcp-freeze :
cd nsfreezetcp-1.0/samples/ && ns tcpvsfreeze.tcl
... and wait : The time is set to 1,500 seconds.

Result : A huge trace file, 'out.tr' 1.8 GB !

( I tried changing to 100 in line 52, tcpvsfreeze.tcl, then out.tr is 155 MB.
And : 10 seconds, out.tr is 14.5 MB.)

Using the trace file : 'perl exponential.pl'
.. Will create two output files : link_1_1_0, predict_1_1_0

Other example "perl command" :
perl exponential.pl uptime=1 downtime=1 finish=3000 pred=0 ZWA_ahead=1.50000 NZWA_after=0.0001 seed=1347258208 link_file=link2 predictor_file=predict2

im using red hat 5.1.19.6 and ns-2.34

while executing tcpvsfreeze.tcl (file that is in samples file with freeze tcp ) I get the error :

couldn't load file "../src/.libs/libnsfreezetcp.so": ../src/.libs/libnsfreezetcp.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

and when I give the full path error comes :

couldn't load file "..": /lib64/..: cannot read file data: Is a directory

and in source folder theres no file with extension .so , so I tried with other extensions like .la but still same problem persists

The command 'cat /etc/redhat-release' will reply with version.
( 5.1.19.6 is a nash version.)

And please also show the reply from the command 'uname -m'.
( Replies are i686 for 32bits OS or x86_64 for 64bits OS.)

Are you quite sure that the libraries in ///src/.libs/ were built ?
( .libs/ is a hidden folder.)

Did you do # yum install kernel kernel-devel
.. before building "tcp-freeze" ? And rebooted ?

and what is nash version?

RHEL 5 is usable with a license / subscription. Else not.

You can migrate Redhat EL 5.4 to the identical free version = CentOS 5.8

knudfl i want to ask that ,im doing simulation of wireless scenario using AODV but im facing problem that wen i link down between node 0 and node 1 and node 0 and node 2 i can still see the packets received by node 1 and two and im using this command :
