TB SATA HD file system broke.
Hello im somewhat new to linux.
I had a 1TB wd hd. the enclosure broke and its mounted in an ibm e server right now. I'm pretty sure the filesystem is broken. was wondering the best way to recover the 932GB of data on it. When i rand fdisk this is what i got: Code:
stygzy@stygzyserver1:~$ sudo fdisk -l any help would be much appreciated. |

Sorry its been a while. I've been working crazy hours. I did succeed in retreiving 2-3 hundred gb of data off the drive but when i tried to restart afterwards it got stuck with the grub loading in the upper left hand corner. Should i mark this thread as solved because my initial problem was solved or should i wait till i complete what i set out to do. Thanks for the help again, it is much appreciated.

Hi stygzy,
I'd say post your solution to recovering your data and mark as solved. For OS recovery issues open up a new thread titled appropriately. Cheers Yas |
thanks i did
