tarball installtion..................

i am using linux (ubuntu) last few months but i did not success to install any tarball .
i have seen many installtion guides but when i applied theme it does not work for me..

SO I WANT NOW A NAME OF (TARBALL FILE OR SOFTWARE WITH INSTRUCTION STEP BY STEP) THAT YOU INSTALLED
IN YOUR COMPUTER.....................IT WILL HELP ME TO DEVELOP MY CONFIDENCE LEVEL FOR INSTALLTION TARBALL..

I AM NOW WATING FOR YOUR KIND REPLAY ...............HELP ME PLZ.

What is the name of the mystery application/package you are trying to install?

Or are you asking us to please give you complete and thorough instructions to install ALL applications?!? :)

"tarball" is nothing more than an archive file format (like .zip in Windows) so ANYTHING could be inside that tarball!

Why don't you give that a read and then post back if you have specific questions (like "how do I install Skype?" for example).
