Tablet linux recomendations
I recently got an old tablet from my mom's office. It was useless to her because nobody knew the password for it so she gave it to me. I immediately installed the Windows 7 pre-beta on it, and i gotta say I'm really liking using an interface designed for touch. But the problem is, I only get to use it for a 30 day free trial. Now I know i could probably find a newer build and just reformat again, but I think it might be a good opportunity to try out a linux system. Does anyone have any recommendations for a tablet setup?

With those specs you could run just about any distro. I know that Ubuntu has a "ubuntu-mobile" package that is designed for a touchscreen interface. You shouldn't have any problems running that. If you want to know about Linux more I suggest getting Debian or Slackware on it though.
(regardless, you can run about any distro out there) |
