system tray is gone/disappeared


hay ppl, much luv to anyone who can offer sum suggestions on HOW to get my SYSTEM TRAY back on the taskbar.. i got an error about it, dont remember wat it said, i chose NO to restore it & now realize i needed to pick YES so the TRAY will come back.. REDHAT 9/gnome/kde..


any1 have any ideas or suggestions on this piece? heh & thx to ne1 who helps..

right click on taskbar, Add->Applet->System Tray

iiite man, thanks a shitload for the fast reply..

all i have when i rite click on my taskbar is NEW PANEL, ADD TO PANEL, PROPERTIES, HELP, ABOUT PANELS & ABOUT GNOME..

i've seen other ppl say that add applet.. but i can't find that biotch.. any other ideas?

hahah i got it, just had to re-enable the NOTIFICATION area. that shit took me half a day to find that bitch...thanks a shitload for the info/suggestions.. -dd

Hi thadoc,

I use FC2 with GNOMe and had the same problem, but I found out how.

just right click on the taskbar and choose
Add to Panel -> Utility -> Window List
and your system tray is back.
