System sounds don't work as well as sounds through a browser

Hi,

This is my first post. I hope I am doing it right.
Almost every time I log in through Ubuntu, the sound doesnt work (I dont here those "drums").
But when I use Rhythmbox to play some music, there's no problem.
Also internet site's dont have any sound.
It looks like my sound device is being recognized:

Which drivers do you use for the soundcard?

Make sure Rhythmbox, system and browser use the same audio driver to get the sound out. Maybe you're using different drivers for Rhythmbox and browser sound and thus one is not working.
