I'm sorry. I misunderstood. I thought QTParted was on a different disk (which I now realize makes no sense
). I've never used this disk, but the error makes it sound like a bug on the disk. I am guessing run_qtparted
is a script. If you are comfortable with reading scripts you can take a look at it and see if you can figure out what is going wrong. And maybe be the first to post a solution!
Otherwise you might want to just try the GParted live CD which you can download here

Or, you can burn a KNOPPIX live CD (or live DVD), which contains QTParted. In this case you can access it from the menus. I have started QTParted on an older version of KNOPPIX w/o problem, although I didn't actually do anything with it. (I was just exploring!)
