system requirement for Redhat 7.2 installation

I have following two questions:

1. What is the minimum system requirement for installing Linux7.2?
2. Does Linux 7.2 can be installed on PC having AMD-K62, 500 MHz processor & 128 MB RAM?

Thanks.

clearly not an intro. moved to linux - newbie.

yes rh72 could run on that, but you do realise that rh72 is *VERY* *VERY* old...? 6 years obsolete i think. it'd be like running Windows 95 these days...

Then, which version of Linux should I install that will run on the specified hardware (AMD-K62 500MHz, 128MB RAM).

No need to double post. Any number of lightweight distros will run OK on that hardware. If you're a newbie maybe Xubuntu (which uses a lighter desktop than Ubuntu or Kubuntu) would work. If you're willing to get your hands a bit more dirty, Debian or Slackware with Fluxbox or XFCE would, I think, run fairly nicely. This assumes you want to to use the machine as a desktop. If you want to use it as a server, don't install a GUI and just about anything will run fine in command line only mode.
