Don't open the iso with 7zip because the iso is a **bootable** disk image and after extracting it you won't know how to burn it as a bootable disk. Your burning software should have an option to burn an iso image and all you'll need to do is browse for the iso file and hit the burn button.

Remember I do not have a os at all at this time, but you are talking about the bios on the computer I am attempting to loas? This is an old computer, I will check what you said, but did not see it the firt time. I do know cd drive is working properly, so I just need to get the fedora disk where it will upload. All the help you give is very much appreciated, thanks!

How did you open it up with 7zip if you don't have an operating system?

I assume you did the above on a different computer than

You need to go back to the first computer and burn a new CD, correctly this time.

Most CD writing programs have a mode in which they write files to the CD. That is not the correct mode. Most also have a mode in which they write or "burn" an image to the CD. That is the correct mode.

You do not unpack the .iso and write its files to the CD.

You do not write the .iso itself to the CD as a file.

You must write the .iso to the CD as an image.

If that choice is not obvious in your CD burning software, download ImgBurn. It is free. It works better than the commercial software or the software that may have been pre installed on the Windows system. It can be installed and used without disturbing any previously installed CD software (so you can still use the other software for data backups or audio CDs or whatever you might think it is good for).
