system configuration required for NS2 on linux to handle large simulations

i need to run large simulation for wireless scenario(approximate 100nodea.. 900 sec..random mobility model..etc etc) so i want to know what exactly ram or hard disk space ns2 requires??
my system is dual core processor..3gb ram..250 gb hard disk..32 bit,,,which i made dual boot(windows 7 and ubuntu 12.04)
i allocate 50 gb hard disk for linux and RAM it shows 3gb..i mean ..i dont know exactly what d working is,,this configuration is shown in ssystem details

i want to know,,system requirements to run large simulation,,so that i wont get crazy by SEGMENTATION FAULT(CORE DUMBED)!!! while running tcl and alternate for that
thnx

NS-2 has some limitations ....
http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...-4175530493/#2

See http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...-4175507630/#3
.. I.e. no guaranty against a crash with even > 6 GB RAM / A super server.

Solution :
For large / complex simulations ... use another simulator, ns3, OMNET++, Castalia etc.

( The commercial "Opnet" can do large scale simulations.
