System Beep No Sound

Hello,
I have Slackware 11 installed with 2.4.33.3 and 2.6.32.12 kernels, the problem is that in Beos the PC Speaker beeps, and in 2.4.33.3 it also beeps, but when i launch 2.6.32.12 there is no beep at all. I don't know what to do ... What I need to include or what modules to load, maybe someone can help me??

Are you sure that a such kernel version exists - 2.6.32.12 ?

Until now, that latest release is 2.6.26.2.

Looks like you don't have system speaker support compiled into the kernel, right? Just recompile, the right option/feature should be somewhere near the rest of the sound-related options.

You might need to load the pcspkr module. Do this as root:
Code:
modprobe pcspkr
