syslog.conf

Hi,

I am currently using Syslog Watcher on a Windows 2012 Server. I am told I can forward my Linux syslogs over to this server as well but am having trouble. I was told to configure the syslog.conf file. Currently this file is completely empty.

How do I get all of the logs forwarded over to this Windows Server?

Any help is appreciated.

Hi:

Here's the man page for the syslog.conf-
http://linux.die.net/man/5/syslog.conf
http://help.papertrailapp.com/kb/con...x-and-bsdos-x/

I'm not sure how to forward logs to your Window Server but these link's might help.
http://www.dameware.com/cmdprompt/ho...og-server.aspx

Hope that helps:-

There are a couple of different syslog servers (e.g. rsyslog, syslog-ng). You need to find out which one you are using on your Linux server and read its documentation, as they support slightly different options/features.
