Syncing up rhel packages with spacewalk

Hello All,

I am trying to create a staging environment for my spacewalk setup (Production was already setup by an ex-admin)...
i see that the production downloads RHEL packages to a repo server through a repository server using the script as follows:
Code:
ssh root@reposrv.company.com </dev/null </dev/null '/usr/bin/rhnget --download-all --systemid=/var/www/html/mrepo/rhel5-server-x86_64-all/systemid -vvvvvv rhns://xmlrpc.rhn.redhat.com/rhel-x86_64-server-5 /var/www/html/mrepo/rhel5-server-x86_64-all/updates/ | tee -a /var/www/html/mrepo/rhel5-server-x86_64-all/rhnget.status' | tee -a /tmp/update-rhn.log
Question: I am not able to access the url rhns://xmlrpc.rhn.redhat.com/rhel-x86_64-server-5. I also tried https://xmlrpc.rhn.redhat.com/rhel-x86_64-server-5. Says the requested URL is not found. How do I view the packages on the RHEL site so I can validate what I am downloading on my staging setup.

Any tips or guidelines are much appreciated.

Thanks

If you want to grab repos from RHN try using mrepo, that is what i use in my spacewalk environment to sync the files from Red Hat.

I am downloading the packages to mrepo which then syncs-up with spacewalk. But where/how do you get packages using mrepo?

I use the following mrepo config:

### Configuration file for mrepo
[main]
srcdir = /share/unix/distro/mrepo
wwwdir = /share/unix/distro/www/rhel/current
confdir = /share/unix/distro/mrepo/etc/mrepo.conf.d
shareiso = no
hardlink = yes
mailto = myemail@mydomain
smtp-server = localhost
mountcmd = /usr/bin/fuseiso
rhnget-options = -vv

rhnlogin = myrhnlogin:mypassword

in the mrepo.conf.d dir I have a RHEL5Server.conf

[rhel5Server]
name = Red Hat $release Server ($arch)
arch = x86_64 i386
#arch = i386
release = 5
metadata = repomd
iso = rhel-server-5.4-$arch-dvd.iso
base = rhns:///rhel-$arch-server-$release
updates = rhns:///rhel-$arch-server-$release
supplementary = rhns:///rhel-$arch-server-supplementary-$release

To kick off the sync:
mrepo -c /path/to/mrepo.conf rhel5Server

Do post your results here and if that worked, mark the question as solved.

Also, post how you did it here so that it could benefit someone else.
