sync Issue

[Log in to get rid of this advertisement]
Hi,
I am newbie to this forum. I am facing one problem but i am unable to figure out the root cause. I would just explain what the issue is
I have a Manager Task which shall spawn 4 prosesses and would monitor the processes activeness by geting the Health check acknowledgement.
But before spawning the processes my script (which shall spawn processes)rmoves one folder and do untar
Ex: #rm PNG -rf
#tar -xzvf PNG.tgz
Then the script runs the Manager task and all the processes are spawned but the problem is the Manager Task not able to get the ACK from the processes for ~2 secs. This is would be resolved in susequent boot up.

Please help me out.

Thanks,
HeartBeat

Help you out with what?? What's failing? What's your error/question? You've explained what you WANT, but no real details. What version/distro of Linux? What programming language(s) are you using for your "Manager Task"?

TBone sorry for the non-clarity..
After I untar (on VFAT file system)the PNG file (tar -xzvf PNG.tgz)Manager Task (C++) should be executed to spawn the processes (on MV Linux 3.0 Edition). As per my implementation Manager Task Should get Health Check ACK from each processes for every second. If I execute the Manager Task Immediately after the untar operation my Manager Task doesn't get the Health check ACK, so as per the implementation it is going for shutdown. But in the next consecutive boot ups it is working fine (Manager Task getting ACK) since the PNG dir is existing and untar will not happen.

My question is why this is happening only after untaring the files. Do we need to give any command after untar opertaion is completed?. if so what should be given?

PS:
Script should untar the PNG.tgz if the PNG dir is not existing in the system.

Thnaks in advance
