Synaptic for fc 7
 
I am using synaptic in fc 7 but whenever I want to add cdrom it show an error msg

" E: Unable to stat the mount point /mnt/cdrom/ - stat (2 No such file or directory)
E: Unable to stat the mount point /mnt/cdrom/ - stat (2 No such file or directory)
E: Failed to mount the cdrom. "

I have a dvd writer and there is no mounting problem

Pls help

you need to create the /mnt/cdrom/ directory

navigate to /mnt and make a new folder called cdrom

now try and mount the cd-rom

I wanted to install few rpms from fc7 dvd. but could not add dvd in the repository. I thought to use synaptic as it has a add cdrom function.

Whether dvd can be added in yum repository ?
