symbolic link between mozilla plugins and /usr/local/java

Hi

What is the command for my symbolic link if

Mozilla is installed in the directory /usr/lib/mozilla-1.7.8, and
JRE is installed in the directory /usr/local/java ?

Thanks,
Tj

Code:
#ln -s /usr/local/java/jre/plugin/i386/ns7/libjavaplugin_oji.so /usr/lib/mozilla-1.7.8/plugins/
It could be a good idea to put all mozilla plugins in /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins so that when you upgrade mozilla, you don't have to keep creating symlinks. Also firefox can use them as well if they are in /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins.

Hi

OK. That makes sense. There is a mozilla folder in the same directory as mozilla-1.7.8. So its seems I should relocate 'mozilla' so that the path becomes /usr/lib/mozilla/mozilla-1.7.8/plugins/ .

Would the symlink then be
#ln -s /usr/local/java/jre/plugin/i386/ns7/libjavaplugin_oji.so /usr/lib/mozilla/mozilla-1.7.8/plugins/ ?

Thanks,

Tj

Do not move and directories created by the system. Fedora Core usually creates both /usr/lib/mozilla and /usr/lib/mozilla-1.x. Create the symlink in any of those directories taking into account what I mentioned above.
