symbol lookup error

Hi

I have a symbol lookup error with my ifort libraries
and I found out the solution in a thread in intel's forum
but I am not sure what to do.

I needed to add -ldl to my gcc link.

How can I do this? where is the gcc link and what -ldl means?

Thanks

You'll need to give us some more info, like where you found this advice & what you're doing.

it sounds like it's telling you to recompile the pacakge using the "dl" library. in other words,

gcc -ldl foo.c -o bar

... but that's pretty generic. From your question, I have no idea what you're doing, what you've done, or what you intend to do, so there's no way to advise you any further without more info.
