Switching to Console

Hi Everybody!

I am using Vector Linux 4 and Window Maker as WM and here is the problem I face:

When I start X I would like to switch to console by pressing CTRL+ALT+F# but it doesn't seem to work ... also CTRL+ALT+BKSP doesn't kill X ...

I think the keybord is mapped correctly because I can use CTRL, ALT, F# and Bksp keys separately (i.e. I cycle my WindowMaker Worksapces with CTRL+ALT+LArrow, can use F# in different applications like OpenOffice or WindowMaker itself, obviously can use Bksp in Xterm ...).

I also tried to map the combinations to different actions in WindowMaker (i.e. CTRL+ALT+F2 to go to the second Workspace and CTRL+ALT+Bksp to go to the 3rd one) and they work ...

Any suggestion?

Alberto

You can also try using Ctrl+alt+arrow keys to move around, shift to console. Usually Alt+Ctrl+F# should work.
