switching off sounds in KDE 3.3

Is there any way to switch off the sound effects in KDE 3.3. I dont find them useful at all but rather annoying.

Go on Prefrences --> Sound or Prefrences --> Sound Notifications. Unheck what you don't want.

Hi, unchecking "enable soundsystem" does not mean that you wont have any sound for your games and videos. It just means that the sounds from kde components will be dropped. All your videos and games(other than kde internall) will still work fine with sound.

Stop being sarcastic. You came here for help and we're helping. If you can't understand, then ask, don't mock. Listen to what koodoo is saying.
