Angry Switchdesk screwed up Gnome

I installed Gnome and KDE, and used 'switchdesk kde' to load KDE because Gnome was default. Then I ran 'switchdesk gnome' to load Gnome and it just loaded to a blank screen with an "X" mouse cursor. How can I get back to Gnome?

Press CTRL + ALT + F1
and you'll go back to the Login screen.

That doesn't do any good because I still can't load Gnome. I noticed that if I switchdesk back to Gnome I have to reboot to load Gnome. How can I change this?

Is it normal to have to reboot after switchdesk to load Gnome, but not KDE?

If all you want to use is Gnome or KDE just type "kdm" from command line and you will get the graphical login screen. There will be a pull down menu with the X-window managers that are loaded. Just login and pick the one you want to use.

Good Luck!!

I tried using kdm, gdm, and switchdesk. It doesn't matter how I do it, as long as KDE loads, I have to reboot to load gnome. That means that it has nothing to do with switchdesk. The problem is KDE.
