Where is switchdesk?

I'm using Mandrake 8.0 and prefer to use startx to start my X session. However, I would also like to choose from KDE or Gnome. I like both of them.

I've been researching this and I've found a lot of people suggesting switchdesk. I've heard a lot of good things about this and would like to try it but, where is it?

"whereis", "locate" or "man" couldn't find it (I did an "updatedb" before searching). I also did a search in the Software Manager with no luck. I even went directly to Mandrake's web site. I could only find it in the 7.x versions.

Is there any place I can download this, or do I even need to because I'm just missing the obvious and there's a much simplier solution to my startx woes.

you could load either from using kdm or maybe gdm or even xdm.. which will give you a graphical login prompt and a choice to start with whatever desktop you want..

The switchdesk available desktops are in
/usr/share/apps/switchdesk/
derictory on RedHat 7.2 at least

afaikm md only has the switchdesk-gnome rpm, which is good enough i guess
